you are back! Since I failed at mentioning last weekend via pictures this past week then you will just get words. A lot of words, I’m sorry. Maybe pictures later.
Short and sweeeetly in bullet form:
- Friday night like a crazy person who becomes obsessed with constantly being active I swam then did spin class, steamed, showered and frolicked to my friend’s apartment party where I proceeded to crash and go to bed at midnight.
- Saturday morning I went to Central Park because I needed to pick up JAY Z (I love you and totally thought I saw you driving this morning) tickets at Carnegie Hall and ran a pleasant 3 or so miles in the park. Ticket lady was like… ummmmm do you have a NY ID? Well technically if you are looking at my CA ID then I shouldn’t also have a NY ID because I think that’s illegal… so acting like a criminal I said “uhhhhhhhhhh wellllllllll ya……….. I do……….” because I illegally have a NY and CA ID (changed address to sister’s SD address and did an online change/mail thing then went to DMV and traded in CA ID for NY because I needed to go to Europe then CA ID magically showed up in the mail. I use CA because I think it’s cooler). She said well you should always use your NY ID and gave me the tickets. Not sure why she was so crazy.
- Then CJ and I attempted to crash a Bloody Mary contest. First annual at Ellabess at the Nolitian Hotel and since there were two biotches at the door we failed to crash the party. Ended up eating delicious food at Barmache (woo hoo crossed off my list) and drank $6 bloody marys. steal. We walked around Nolita and through Soho and met up with Mr. Beaud on West Broadway to look at design stores. He thought we randomly ran into each other but we were texting to meet up. For the second Saturday in a row we continued the afternoon as a boozy one. In Sam’s brilliant words “two times is a coincidence, three is a tradition” (ready for this Sat Sam?) Sam and Dave wanted to do an appetizer crawl so why not start at 4? Went to the Dutch for beers then as soon as 530 hit we ordered apps. Michelle and Dave met up. Then we went to Ditch Plains (so good). I talked swim with the host who looks like Adam Brody. I will talk swim with anyone now, it’s amusing. Then it was approaching dinner time. The best thing about starting the app crawl at 4 is you get all the open tables before dinner reservations at 8. We got rejected from the next 3 places and magically got a table at a personal fav, Aria.
- Now being 10pm I needed to go to this random latin NYC party in Times Square. So random. sooo random. It was benefiting blood cancers. A friend/acquaintance was just diagnosed with Hodgkin’s so I wanted to support AND salsa dancing BA style? YES PLEASE. I obviously put on my BA Chic outfit and was in heaven when everyone was speaking Spanish and they were playing all the best latin type songs. God I miss BA.
- Sunday morning went to Cafe Gitane at the Jane Hotel with Stacy. Cutest place ever and it’s 3 blocks down. I want to go there every Sunday for a latte, chocolate croissant and avocado toast. Then I tried on way too much makeup and hot pink lipstick that never came off, looked like a clown, went to Apple store and while I was talking to the sales person all I could think was omg I look like a clown I am going to hold my Sephora bag really close to my face so he knows I was trying on makeup…
- I found myself having nothing to do. And if you know me well, which all of you do, you know that I don’t do well when I have nothing to do. I could have sat…. and read… or… I don’t know but I needed to do something so I ran errands at Kmart in hopes to find puffy paint/SPARKLES for our Cycle for Survival ride this Sunday. (I’m $300 short please donate :):):):) ) fail. but I bought a drill. Also fail because it came without drill bits. Then when I got home I SAW A DEAD ROACH and nearly passed out and I am not exaggerating. It took me a good 15 min to throw this disgusting creature out. I feel like a stranger in my home. I feel like I’m intruding these roaches lives. I’m 100x bigger than you whyyyyy am I so scared?
- Then I went to a Super Bowl party, insulted a 4 year old, ate delicious food, and watched every second of the game. That’s a first I think.
You are wondering what I’m up to this weekend? Probably not but!
- Tonight looking at engagement rings at Michael Fina (not for me OBVIOUSLY but for my sis. Cuz it’s fun. And maybe she’ll get engaged soon). Then a comfort food meal at CPK. All with Alex. Last night she emailed me her suggestions for what we should order. LOVE IT. I was obviously have been thinking about what to order all week.
- Saturday I’m getting a full body scan at the dermatologist finally. Running. Maybe boozy Sat. Maybe yoga. Dinner at Stanton Social.
- Sunday Cycle for Survival!! Then Clinton Street Baking Co. pancakes mmmmmmmmmmmmm
enjoy the day!
