Dear Cyclers,
Why do you Cycle?
I cycle for Jen, my beautiful wife who founded Cycle for Survival.
Jen passed away this summer after a seven-year battle with her rare cancer. But the fearlessness and passion with which she lived — and which she poured into Cycle — inspire me to continue her fight. I don’t want anyone else to suffer like Jen did, and I don’t want anyone else to lose a spouse, daughter, or friend to cancer.
So in these final days before the ride, I am raising as much money as I can for the life-saving research Cycle makes possible.
And then, this weekend, I will put on my Team Fearless shirt and I will cycle for Jen. For her strength, kindness, determination — and for the joy she brought to my life, and to so many others’ lives.
Who’s with me? Let’s do this for every “Jen” in our lives — the brave patients, the grateful survivors, and the loved-ones we miss so much.

I cycle because I can. I can move my legs. I cycle because my mom introduced me to the sport. I cycle because you see beautiful things. I cycle because the music is loud and you are surrounded by energetic like minded individuals. I cycle because life is full of unexpected things and you really don’t know what tomorrow brings. I cycle because I love the feeling of flying.
